About the author: Rebeca Knowles

Rebeca Knowles is a Systems Engineer, Bachelor in Theology and Missions and a prolific writer. Her popular reflections «One Minute with God» are broadcast on radio and television throughout Latin America. Beside her husband, Brian, she is cofounder and director of the ministry Reaching Out Network, Inc. (RONI), an organization that supports families and helps establish strong marriages through the Christian values of hope, faith and love. Together they produce the radio and TV show «Healthy Marriages with Brian and Rebeca Knowles”.

Also, it’s interesting to emphasize a series of services that they offer to families and the community. For example, they teach seminars such as «The base for success at home», «Intelligence, emotions and commitment in marriage», «The naked Marriage», «The miracle of adoption», etc.
Her latest book is “Confessions of a desperate woman” by Unilit publishing house.

Rebeca tells us:
“In the first place, I am not an adoptive mother who writes a book, but a writer who was given by God the joy of adoption. Then, as for me writing is not a task but a pleasure, the way I express myself, I kept an electronic journal with the experiences and teachings that I was being given by God. But, the teachings didn’t end with the adoption. God continues shaping the message in my heart and discovering it in front of my eyes. “

After showing God’s heart to the orphans and the task that was entrusted to us, the church, to take care of them, Rebeca Knowles asks two questions:
 What’s your place in God’s plan for the orphan?
 Is adoption part of God’s plan for your life?

Rebeca Knowles makes the Pure Religion challenge to this generation:
With the aim of responding to these and other questions, which you may have, in relation to adoption and orphans, Rebecca Knowles Ministries and Expolit 2011 have got together with several other organizations which help orphans or work in favor of adoption. That is why you will find, this year, a list of 4 workshops and activities within the Expolit area which will help you to enter this world to which God has called us to be his representatives. The workshops include several hours of work with questions which will help you in the process of guiding orphans in the adoption procedure, if God has called you to this task.
More information, as well as a press report, will be sent to all interested! Let us know if you want to participate. Send an e-mail to info@ReligionPura.com
Besides this, Expolit 2011 will count on Expolit Cinema. We will be showing pictures telling concrete stories about orphans’ lives and the miracle of adoption.

Preface for Rebeca Knowles's adoption book written by Sixto Porras, Focus on the Family

Preface for the book "El Milagro de la Adopción" "The Miracle of Adoption" by Rebeca Knowles, launching in Expolit 2011 by Unilit Editorial.

Preface written by Sixto Porras, Regional Director
Focus in the Family

"Running my eyes through the pages of this book captured my heart, and I know it will do the same to you, because it is your story and mine… We were adopted out of love! The Father loved us and this is sublime.

This book isn’t only for the parents who adopted a child or for those who wish to do so. It’s a book for all Christians in the world, because if the Church doesn’t adopt the orphans, who will?

In my case, I was thinking that I knew love through my parenthood to Daniel and Esteban, my sons, but I realized that nobody can experience it better than an adoptive father. My recommendation is that you read this book like you would read a novel. Enjoy the stories and allow God to reveal Himself in your life as you read its pages. This book will bewitch you, because Rebeca has the power to write it with such clarity that you can feel the scents, see the streets, and be there with them. In this book you will see God speak in the most difficult times: when the strengths are exhausted, when bureaucracy prevents adoption through one simple step, when questions accumulate and there’s no answer. In spite of everything, it’s also to see how God opens doors. This book will help you grow your trust in God. Like Rebeca said: «My daughter’s name is Julia “Amada (Loved)” because I decided to love her. She is the person in whom my heart and my soul spill». Rebeca shows us that loving is still a decision. She also expresses: «If you went through infertility, this book will help you heal the wounds that this disease can cause in the heart of a man and a woman. And if one day God talked to you about adoption, with this book you will spare yourself many deceptions from people who don’t know what they’re talking about. Here the myths are explained, as well as the practical steps of adoption». There’s no doubt, this book is interesting and captivating!

This book will help you transform pain into hope, just like Rebeca tells us: «I never imagined that in the middle of my great pain I would experience the greatest happiness [...] I experienced the greatest pain in the desert that brought me my infertility. The greatest joy came through the path to the adoption of my children. The infertility was crushing my fingers with pain as it closed the door to my awaited future, but in some way opened my eyes to allow me to see a path that I had never considered. In the road to adoption many doors opened to a new world: the orphan’s world».
The Miracle of Adoption will be an adventure that will allow you to discover that in its story there are no leftover details and that the best story of all time is about to be written once we let God talk to our hearts. I’m sure that you will enjoy the trip with Rebeca and her family!

“This could be the beginning of a movement within the Hispanic churches to give life and hope to thousands of children who are waiting!” says Darrell Eash, Hispanic Ministry Director of Focus on the Family's "Enfoque USA".

Four types of workshops are being planned during Expolit 2011:

What are you going to do for the orphans of this world? Stories that inspire.

Does adoption shape part of God’s plan for your life? Discover it today!

Stories of Adoption that inspire and tear down myths. The miracle of adoption: A love story.

This year, Expolit will present Expolit films and Pure Religion will carry out “film therapies.” That means, we are going to coordinate la presentation of movies that tell concrete stories of the life of the orphan and the miracle of adoption.

During Expolit 2011, the author Rebeca Knowles will launch the challenge “Pure Religion” during the Editorial Unilit’s Women’s Conference. “There are two challenges for the church today in James 1:27 and I believe that the time to take God seriously has arrived: 1. To bring God’s justice to a group of people that do not have to be blamed for its condition of orphans and widows. And, 2. Do not let the world to corrupt us with its ideas and vain ways of life.”

Also, we have the contribution of the several communication outlets that have joined this movement, among them the main radio station of Miami: La Nueva 88.3FM, Radio ZOE 1430 AM, as well as the satellite chain CVC La Voz; global social media outlets such as Noti-prensa and El Mensajero Comunicaciones; Print media, the magazine Enfoque. Vida Nueva Radio in Puerto Plata, Santo Domingo, with Franklin Veloz, leading the movement in this island; and other radio networks in the United States of America.
