An evening with Religion Pura at Expolit 2012

Once again, Religion Pura, an orphan project of Reaching Out Network, Inc, a non-for profit organization (RONI), and Expolit 2012 are proud to announce our concert “An evening with Religion Pura” This "Signature" event will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Opening Celebration for Expolit 2012 from 8:00 p.m. to 11:30:00 p.m.
Concert 11-11-11

Last Year, our series of events and concerts held on 10 different locations throughout Latin America on November 11, 2011 (11-11-11) were a tremendous success and greatly surpassed all expectations. On 11-11-11 we instituted the “International Orphan Commitment Day”.
Last year we had the honor to have the Luis Palau evangelistic association and Dr. Luis Palau to support the Pure Religion movement. We also had the support of Focus on the Family and other important organizations such as CBN, Restore a Child, “NiƱos de los Andes" that partnered with us and participated on the workshops Religion Pura provided during Expolit 2011.

Now, the Religion Pura concert will again bring together public and private business, government and non-profit organizations like yours. The Concert will also feature a Panel of Experts and we are pleased to announce that Andrew Palau has accepted the invitation to be the keynote speaker of the night.

This year Expolit is celebrating 20 years of existence and the concert “An evening with Religion Pura” is free to the Expolit public that will attend this 5 day magnum event. Friends of Religion Pura have the option to buy separate tickets just for the day of the concert. We will have different sponsorships levels available to organizations that desire to help the Religion Pura cause including the launching of the campaign “Adopt One. Love One”.

Some not-for-profit social services working among orphans will be present providing information to the general public. Expolit has 5000 people in attendance (see Expolit.com) and on Friday May 4, 2012 “An evening with Religion Pura” will be the main plenary session and the inauguration for the entire event.

The Expolit 2012 public is a mix of Latino leaders and general public residing in the USA, Latin America and Europe.

Today Steve Jobs died. He was a great man who experienced The Miracle of Adoption

When I talk about Steve Jobs and adoption, I mean the beginning of his story and that’s why I want to share with you part of a beautiful speech by Steve Jobs.
This particular speech was delivered on June 12, 2005 at the Graduation Ceremony at Stanford University. I think it's appropriate to share his story for two reasons: first, because here he talks about his beginnings and second because it talks about how he saw death.

His beginnings were of adventure and miracles, just as it is in any adoption story. And for me, (Rebeca Knowles) adoptive mother to David and Julia, I am moved when hearing the story because it reminds me that all humans beings have a destiny inside of us. We as parents are privileged to be part of witnessing the life of another individual through fatherhood, motherhood, whether biological or through the Miracle of Adoption.
She did not know that the child she once held in her arms would become the great Steve Jobs. Neither she nor the other one knew that. However, only one of them was able to enjoy him and watch him grow.
Two mothers loved him. The first gave him life when she "gave birth" to him, the other gave him life when she allowed him to be born in her heart and adopt him her child.

At the end of the speech, when he speaks of death, Steve says, "Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart."

I am an adoptive mother, I am a "mother of the heart" and it is my desire to inspire those around me, especially my children, to live with heart, to give the heart to what we do, to love with the entire heart. Steve Jobs managed to do so.
